Dashboard FAQs

Why is Duplicate Deletion Important?

A duplicate is any inaccurate location data hosted online. If WebPT Local cannot correct a duplicate because it is not within its distribution network or it doesn’t have permission to, then it will hide it to avoid negative effects on your search result rankings. Hiding a duplicate is also called suppression.

Duplicate closure is important because search engines look for citations (any information about a specific location) and pull that information for ranking purposes. The more accurate that information is across the internet, the higher you move up in rankings.

Differences in information as minor as using suite and ste can hurt your ranking.

Does WebPT Local differentiate between a Physical Therapist group and the PTs representing themselves in independent pages?

Yes. For example, if you have a PT business complex hosting several practicing PTs with their own independent web profiles, WebPT Local should automatically recognize them as independent contacts that have their own listing separate from the business complex.

Suggestion: If you have a listing that is specific to an office complex and there are five different PTs in the office that have their own business page, then each PT should have its own listing to be managed.

What is the value in reviewing trends?

Looking at this data over time, you can clearly see when there is a negative dip in certain metrics. For example, if you see a sudden and sharp decline in website visits in the Google Clicks widget, you may consider investigating to find out if something has changed.

The insights graphs for impressions and clicks of Google and Facebook on the dashboard are empty. Why?

Our system is allowed to retrieve this data only after the user has connected their Google My Business and Facebook accounts. (The user needs Owner or Administrator rights on the Google listing in order to connect it.)

By connecting WebPT Local to Facebook or Google My Business, the user authorizes the platform to retrieve the insights data directly from Google My Business and Facebook.
